I ache to write
about my memories
and all the moments
I cant photograph
so that I can keep them
safely locked away
close to my heart
so that when I’m older
and can no longer
remember the stories
I have created
I can sit quietly
in a rocking chair
gazing at the sunset
and read them
and imagine
what it was like
to be that girl
